The Book Haven

Reading and books are my happy place.  My safe place.  Somewhere I can always go, that will never dissappear.  In other words, they are my haven.  

 

I started this blog to share my love of reading and books with all of you out there.  I hope that readers will find insight and recommendations in my reviews, perhaps even discussion starters.  Just as importantly, I hope that non-readers are inspired to give reading for pleasure a try again.  Lofty goals, sure, but what are goals for if they aren't somewhat idealistic?

 

 As for me, I am an accountant who also has a degree in Foreign Languages & Literatures, who loves books (obviously) and learning.  When I am not reading, I am cooking and/or trying to please my cats (a lofty goal, even for me).  I like stories of all kinds; I am also almost always watching a television series (especially science-fiction and cooking/travel) or two.
